5 JCVD Movies That Need Sequels

Double Impact: Van Damme himself has recently discussed plans for a sequel to this classic actioner and dammit all, I wanna see it ASAP. Chad and Alex were great creations and to see them both now that they are older would be really fascinating. Booms even did a Dreamteams about it a while back. Having the two brothers turn against each other would be a nice twist. Hey, look what they did with the Uni Sol series; they turned it on its head and went way out there and it was awesome.

Time Cop: One of Jean-Claude’s finest hours, Time Cop had one of the best scripts of his career with great action and a mind-bending story. There are so many different directions you could take it in and you could have another great villain like Senator McComb. Just make sure Peter Hyams is directing again, or possibly his son John as they get the very best out of our hero.

Bloodsport: I did a Dreamteams for this last week because I’ve always wanted to see JCVD step back in the ring. Imagine if he got Daniel Bernhardt back in the series and they have a fight; you could also have Scott Adkins in it too. It’s a real chance for him to showcase his amazing martial arts skills.

6 Bullets: One of my favourite ever Van Damme movies because it has such a great story, I’d love to see 7 Bullets where Van Damme is hired to rescue someone else’s kid. Despite the film not having many fight scenes, it gave JC the chance to demonstrate his acting skills which were extremely impressive. It still had plenty of action and was really tense. I say bring it on!

Hard Target: This is the least likely to ever happen as it wouldn’t work without John Woo and I also have no idea what the story could be, but the first movie is such a classic actioner that I just want to see Chance Boudreaux back in action. How about Fouchon’s (Lance Henriksen) brother comes after Chance for revenge or something? Either way I’d pay to see it.

Any other JCVD films you want to see a sequel to?

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it’s a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone.
