Die Hard Returning to the Big Screen

The greatest action movie of all time is returning to the big screen courtesy of Cineplex Cinemas in Canada. Personally I’ve never actually seen the original Die Hard on the big screen but I did get to see all of the sequels.

The film will be playing on December 5, 2013 at 7:00PM in Cineplex theatres throughout Canada. The Action Elite will definitely be in attendance as Die Hard is easily the best Christmas movie of all time.

This is a special Most Wanted Movies Presentation, just like Cineplex did with Rambo: First Blood Part II last year which was one of my favourite cinematic experiences ever. It’s such a great idea to have these special screenings of older action classics as it gives modern audiences a chance to see them on the big screen, the way they were meant to be seen. I am especially pleased that Die Hard is playing over the Festive Season so it’s perfectly timed.

SYNOPSIS: The movie that made Bruce Willis a bona fide action superstar, “Die Hard” (1988) follows Willis’ famous Detective John McClane as he inadvertently becomes embroiled in a hostage situation when his wife’s office is taken over by German terrorists. An instant classic upon its release, “Die Hard” is a rip-roaring action film that set a precedent for all later movies in the genre. Alan Rickman also stars in a memorable performance as the devilish Hans Gruber, leader of the terrorist faction.

I grew up watching JCVD, Sly and Arnold destroy bad guys, blow things up and spew one-liners like it’s a fashion statement. Action is everything I go to the movies for and the reason I came up with this site is to share my love for the genre with everyone.

Watching Die Hard as a Chess Game

Watching the action classic Die Hard the other day, it dawned on me why I liked it so much. Yeah, it’s great to see Bruce Willis yippie-ki-yay around, taking on all the bad guys in his bare feet, and barely escaping peril eve...
