Sue Me!

Sue Me! I Love Another 48 Hrs.

I remember when this sequel came out in 1990, it was given terrible reviews and seen more as a parody to the original than a sequel. Well you know what I say to them? Bollocks!

I may even enjoy this movie more than the first, but I love that too and consider this series better than Beverly Hills Cop.

I would still watch a part 3, how about The Next 48 Hrs. with Nolte drunk/high and just sitting in front of a camera acting completely batshit? I’d pay to watch it.

Anyway, I was expecting this to be terrible but ended up loving every minute; once again directed by Walter Hill, it has plenty of violence, one-liners and action to keep us action fans happy.

It also has some of the best villains from every 80s action movie in one place. You’ve got Ed O’Ross, Brion James and Andrew Divoff to name but a few which already wins points in its favour.

The attack on the prison bus is a great action scene and when watching it all I was thinking was “What the Hell is wrong with people? This rocks!”

The buddy banter between Nolte and Murphy is as funny as ever and the movie doesn’t skimp on bodycount either. Sure the plot may not be up to much but for sheer Saturday night entrainment, I had a blast with it.

So, there you go; I love Another 48 Hrs. and if you don’t then I guess I’ll see your ass in court.
