Angel Has Fallen Found a Director?

I love the “Has Fallen” franchise; it’s old-school action and the only problem I’ve had with both movies so far was the dodgy CGI but hopefully with this third entry it will be kept to a minimum. Deadline has announced that Ric Roman Waugh is near a deal to direct Angel Has Fallen with Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman set to return.

Angel Has Fallen follows Banning as he continues to be a target of terrorists, this time while mid-flight on Air Force One.

Waugh’s deal as director isn’t officially done, but once signed on, he will follow previous Fallen helmers Antoine Fuqua and Babak Najafi. Waugh recently directed the crime thriller Shot Caller starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Jon Bernthal.
