Plot: When a family member of one of their own is attacked, a team of former elite soldiers are called back into action and a ruthless game of kill or be killed is set in motion.

Review: I’ve been looking forward to Ultimate Justice for a while; Mark Dacascos, Mike Möller and Matthias Hues in a movie together is the perfect combination for a lot of broken necks. In terms of action and a high bodycount Ultimate Justice delivers the goods even if some of the cast don’t get enough to do.

I would have liked to see more of Hues kicking some ass but he does get a few moments to shine and it’s refreshing to see him play a good guy for once.

Mike Möller is quite the find and has fantastic on-screen fighting prowess where he owns the majority of the action scenes; I look forward to watching his career progress as he has genuine talent. We also see Mike Leeder in one of his biggest roles to date as part of this mini-Expendables, giving us a varied and entertaining cast who do the best with what they can.

There was some particularly terrible dubbing for certain actors which was distracting at times; I understand the film has a low budget and there was apparently very limited time to shoot but it still took me out of a few scenes.

The second half fared better though and I think I just got used to it as I was into the plot; there was also plenty of action and impressive fight scenes (mostly with Mike Möller) but it was a shame we didn’t get more one on one fights with Dacascos. I’m also not sure I bought the twist at the end which was hard to swallow and ended up being more frustrating than anything.

I liked how Ultimate Justice wasn’t afraid to take risks and kill off characters throughout unlike The Expendables series which never took any chances in that respect.

Overall, Ultimate Justice does the best it can with the limited budget and is action-packed; it’s a shame the dubbing was distractingly bad as it made the film feel incomplete at times but it’s still a fun ride.
